Bush Orders Probe Into Gas Price Cheating

President Bush has halts deposits to the nation's strategic petroleum reserve to make more oil available for consumer needs

Bush, under pressure to do something about gasoline prices that are expected to stay high throughout the summer, was to announce the decision in a speech. It was part of a flurry of actions designed to demonstrate that the administration was trying to deal with rising prices.
Bush has said consistently that gas prices are high because global demand is rising faster than global supply and that the problem cannot be solved overnight.

WASHINGTON -- A must-pass spending bill to pay for the rising costs of the war in Iraq and for additional hurricane aid for the storm-ravaged Gulf Coast.

To date, Congress has provided about $315 billion for the war in Iraq and other anti-terror spending since September 2001.

The news industry is not cooperating with the "News based on your views" concept HBN News is based on.

While most everyone would agree they have no need to do anything to make another news operation flourish, the changes going on in news gathering threaten their own positions that they are somehow better than the competition. How can you be better if you are all using the same stuff?
Fox Host to Be Named White House Spokesman
Conservative pundit Tony Snow will be named White House press secretary, Republican officials said Tuesday night, in the latest move in President Bush's effort to remake his troubled White House.

Snow, in an Associated Press interview on Tuesday, said: It is public record. I've written some critical stuff.
Snow is expected to be named on Wednesday.
