I got tired of the old style and thought we'd try something new. Let us know what you think!

Ok, I'm all for trying things out... This particular style is a bit... unwieldy?? Or, perhaps, harsh on the eyes (for me)??? Thus my "if we have to" vote?? I'll be happy to look at others - and if this is what you guys want, well, I won't leave because of it, that's for sure Smile

Hmm, but you have got me thinking DB. I didn't even know we COULD change colors (haha...yeah, I must be an idiot).

So...what the heck color should we make this thing? What would look cool...or really fit?

I would vote for the old (default) style; but heck I am here for the content not for the art - I'll go to a museum for that.

I hate to be an old fogey, but I like the simple style better. White on black is difficult to view. Perhaps it's possile to have a new, cleaner look, but maintain a white background.

You know, while we're talking about the forum, there's a feature I'd like to improve on. When you log in, you can see an indicator of which forums have messages that are new since the last time you logged in. And then, likewise, in the forum, you can see which message have new posts.

It seems like the forum is keeping the time that I logon in order to calculate the new posts. However, I keep my account logged in all day, so I can't see which posts are new during the day. I need to log out, and then log back in to see which posts are new.

It would be nice to see which forum had new posts since the last time I looked at that forum.

I can see that you are using phpBB, which is an open-source, canned program, so you might not be able to have this feature. But since we were talking about the forum anyway...

Well, if we are making a list of requests...if you ever run across a spell checker - that would be handy!

Well so much for that experiment. Even I decided it hurt my eyes after a while. There are a lot of styles out there to choose from (Or Ben and Dan could deesign their own style in the Admin panels.) If you want to make suggestiongs you can review all the submitted ones at:

FWIW - subSilver is nice - I think that's what we're already using (or similar, anyway)?? Similar style on another forum I read. Easy on the eyes, yet slick looking enough to not be totally bland or boring...
